I don't believe it 100% proves she was lip-syncing. A lot of people use backup tracks and sing along with them. I know I probably would use one if I were a singer. I can only imagine how hard it is to sing and dance live and try to make it all sound and look good!
My whole thing is that if she was actually planning on singing, she should have just sang "Pieces of Me" instead of walking off the stage. Her band picked up what was going on, and, professionally went to "Plan B". Ashlee, however, decided to just leave the stage. I think if you can't dance and sing at the same time, then, don't dance.
