Well, I may get a bit sidetracked here, but our cat got neutered some years ago and stayed at the vets for at least 3 days after (he was at the time a backyard cat) and was put back in the yard together with his mum. No problem! . He was even filmed during the process! A TV station was doing a childrens programme about cats living in backyards and what could be done for them. So we've got it on video.
