Has Smokey been drinking really a lot of water as if he can't get enough? He probably just has an infection my friends dog just had that and she needed to flush him, I'm not sure how she did that but she said it worked. You might want to take a urine sample with you so the Vet can check for this when you take him in. Hope all goes well at the Vet and it will be nothing serious.
