Oops, forgot to post a joke I had to get the day started. Here you go.

A cowboy walks into a bar and orders a whisky. When the bartender delivers the dirnk, the cowboy asks, "Where is everybody?"

The bartender replies, "They've gone to the hanging."

    "Hanging? Who are they hanging?"

"Brown Paper Pete," the bartender replies.

"What kind of name is that?" the cowboy asks.

"Well," says the bartender, "he wears a brown paper hat, brown paper shirt, brown paper trousers and brown paper shoes."

"How bizzarre," said the cowboy. "What are they hanging him for?"

    "Rustling," replied the bartender.

arrggh matey - what a joke - oops, wrong week.

lizzy - Yikes - just remember, you didn't get him fired, his actions did.

Hi T&P - wish I could say that about our weather. September is usually one of our nicest months - cool crisp mornings and warm sunny afternoons - unfortunately, this September has been more like April - cool and rainy. We're supposed to finally get some warm weather again this weekend - we better enjoy it because it might be the last of the 80 degree weather until May or June.

David - Richard isn't around yet so I'll rustle up that coffee - done.

KK - a dotd for you.

good morning Slick - don't we normally do cleanup on Friday mornings?

    Onion Rings for everyone.

Wow, ... WHAT A LOOOONG STRANGE TRIP IT'S BEEN oops that's Grateful Dead, I forgot we're doing Rolling Stones. It has been a weird week though - glad to FINALLY stop by for a DOTD (if it's not too late). I did meet up with Emily-the-Spoiled (aka Cheryl) for lunch on Tuesday. It was really fun to meet her and I'm honored too because she said I was the first honest to goodness PetTalker she's actually met in person! Well, I don't know about the honest part and "goodness"?? ME eeeny hoo, I want to know what Richard was wearing in your dream Gini, what's going on with Slick's wardrobe change? I'm confuzzled but what else is new * plops down on the floor with a sigh *

My dream? All I will say is that there were a LOT of people in the dream..........and they seemed to be Pet Talkers one and all.

It wasn't Halloween, but a few of you had on some *funny* clothes. I guess it is the diversity of our group that I was dreaming about.

Richard thanks for the rum and coke........perfectly made!

How about if we go to visit each other? Since this would be a cyber trip - everyone would have a house big enough to hold us all - an unlimited budget for the groceries - and a comfy bus to take us around to see the sights.

Slick, you do mention how pretty it is in your area. How about if we come to visit you and meet Max and Speckles? Then you could show us around your area and we could have some yummy seafood.

Anyone want to invite us? (sorry, I am busy this Thursday and weekend, I have invited the...........oh, never mind, you would never understand)

Gee! Thanks, I guess! Not exactly the legacy I had hoped to leave for the world but at least I won't be forgotten as long as an onion ring lives any where on earth!

Thanks Richard, I needed that. Mid 80's, sunny & dry today, but nights in the 50's Beautiful, typical weather for September in Washington DC. What's for lunch? Anybody have a particular hankering for anything? Cooking relaxes me and sometimes chopping things up into small pieces puts a somewhat evil grin on my face Ya'll can come visit me anytime but I would suggest in the next month or so. Winter here is miserable. Fall is delightful and most all the sights are free, museums, most art galleries, the zoo. The American Indian (or preferably Native American) museum just opened on the National Mall (no, not a shopping mall) and I can't wait to visit. Come on down [up, over] for a visit ya'll...

Just stopping for a minute. Busy this morning and my boss is sitting in my office on the phone.......

Laurie how about rustling up some lemonade??? Lemons make good squeeze toys. Good for stress relief.

Sure you all can come up...seeing it's a cyber trip I don't even have to get rid of the dust bunnies.

    Later gater.

    Great idea, Gini!

Gini, I would like to show off Pittsburgh to everyone! Has anyone visited there recently? I think that Pittsburgh is a little different from some people's ideas!

Lizzie, the sun's over the yard-arm SOMEWHERE, drink up. David, I think I mentioned this before but one of the best steaks I've ever had was at one of those restaurants on the ridge overlooking the 3 rivers. WOW. Also, come Fall there are some beautiful hills and mountains to meander around looking at the Fall colors. Gini, I thought after all those slushies no one would notice pour enough magic potion in the stew and who cares???
