H W, actually, now that you mention it, that idea also crossed my mind. But even though it is all in fun, I have picked up one of my (dead) furkids who was hit on the highway, and it isn't funny. My kitty who was hit last spring was one named "Motley Cat", about 2 years old, because of her tortie coat. What was interesting about her coat is that if a cat had horns, Motley cat has two white spots by each ear that would mark the spot! And why she went all the way to the highway is a mystery to me, because none of my furkids wander out that far from home -about 500 ft away, unless she was chased out there, which is the only reason I can come up with. Now, Princess is her "double" -and kitten also - but without the "horn spots".
