Words can't express how sad I feel for you. This is every pet owner's worst nightmare. We try to do the very best for our pets and then despite everything, it turns out wrong. Even if your pet does not get out and about and there probably would not be a chance of pregnancy, spaying is recommended for other health reasons. Yet is is an operation and there are risks involved. With Ember being young, the risks were few, yet as this instance shows, tragedies do happen. We have to accept that we cannot control all things. Please know that you did the best you could for Ember. I know nothing I can say will take away the pain, but please know that we understand the magnitude of what you are going through right now.
