You know those sticks with the little sponges on the tip that the vets give us to "brush" our cat's teeth? What if you used one of those with all the water squeezed out so he won't aspirate to at least limit the amount of food that he licks onto his fur during his "grooming" after eating sessions. Or how about you use a warm wet clothe to follow up after he messes himself with his "grooming" sessions? I know a wet clothe will inspire him to lick himself more but by then his mouth won't be full of food remnants anymore right? (I don't know) Ask Dr. Bird about his salivary glands too. You paid (we paid) enough to be able to call and ask questions!
