They do get lots of kisses and rubs and alot of handling every time I go into see them. This helps to make the people friendly and they are use to being handled by the time they are ready to leave here. I play with toes and get them use to have the toes played with so nail clipping will be easier. I start to use a comb and a very soft brush on them when they are about 3 - 4 weeks old. Yes I comb the tummies also and the inside of the legs and the britches, it is something you have to do when you have long haired cats. And these being Maine Coons if you don't get them use to it now it will be hard later and the bigger they get the harder it becomes. I also give them their first bath between 10 and 12 weeks old. I put alot of love and work into these kittens because I want them to behave when their new parents come to get them. And I have one now that has had alot of medical problems and I didn't push the grooming and now he has to be shaved. But at least I still have him here to spoil and he is very spoiled. Here are some pictures of Smokey with Q's kittens I took today.
