This is the closest i could find to Dale. Very rarely will you find a purebred Greater Swiss Mountain Dog in a shelter, if so, a breeder usually finds out about it, and takes them. Swissie breeders are few, and the ones that do breed, make sure that any new owners would give back the dog to them (we signed contracts), if for any reason the dog was not wanted, before placing them in a shelter, they don't want the breed to become over-populated, so to speak. They want the breed to remain true to it's natural origin, and so, they are also careful of who they adopt out to, to make sure the people are resposible and will neuter/spay, and have a good relationship with the new owners, tey also make you wait sometimes a year before adopting one, to be sure you are ready for it and have thought it over...anway, that said...this is the best i could find: She looks like him minus the white blaze between the eyes, she may be part rottie...
