She's estimated to be 16 years old, according to her vet records. According to the shelter, she doesn't eat much and her litterbox is hardly used. When I first brought her into her room, she hid in the kitty tent. I went out for a while to try and trap my friends cat who is missing. When I came back, she was a totally different cat. I called her and she came to me, giving me head bumpies and wanting her belly scratched. Her wet food had been somewhat eaten and she used the litterbox!!! She also uses the scratching post. I am head over heals in love with this precious old lady and am so glad I took her outta there. I truly believe I saved her life. While in the shelter, all she did was hide in her cage. She was very depressed.
It'll be a while before I introduce her to the others. I want her to feel comfortable in her surroundings first. But I did the shirt thing. Rubbed her down with one for MY cats and rubbed MY cats down for her so they all know each other's scents.
What a difference in her personality now that she knows someone loves her and cares for her.
And I'm still in the single digits too!!!
