Sadie has been such a great dog for me and I think she is a whippet mix so I often do searches for whippet mixes and I always find a few that are irresistable. If I had a better layout (fencible yard, if that's a word) and Sadie was younger I wouldn't resist.

    Lady and Lucy

    Mimi

Diva - she looks so much like Sadie, at least from the picture!

    Nina

I hope they all find forever homes fast!

I was "attacked my this gorgous girl yesterday. I went to the pet sotre to pick some stuff up and she put her paws on my shoulders and just licked to to no end!! I would hav eloved to have brought her home with me!!

Hi I am Lexi. I am a 3 to 4 month old Dobe girl. I am a sweet and lovable pup who
is almost housebroke. I have natural ears and a long tail. I was rescued from Xenia
OH Animal Control and am looking for a great home to call my own. Are you
looking for a typical Dobe girl? I am a lap dog and sleep with my foster Mom at night.
I play well with my foster brothers & sisters and enjoy eating, sleeping
    and all other puppy games.

Or what about this little pug-a-lug? Okay, amybe not the best fit since she doesn't like children or other dogs, but she's still cute!!!

Gertie is a little overweight and is about 20 lbs. She is active and playful and strong. She is confident and bold as a terrier and pug might be. She will be spayed before she leaves. She loves people and will come and play at any time. She is said to be housebroken and may be a little bossy with small children. She may not get along with other dogs well and will jump fences and can get out of some kennels. She will need supervision and confinement and training to be her best until she is mature (about 2 yrs of age). Needs assertive owner and best with adults. Thru pound manager only.

I feel so bad for poor Homer. He has beenlooking for a new home for a long time. Such a cutie!!

Looking for devotion? Looking for someone who only has eyes for you? Even wearing safety glasses? Looking for someone who is dedicated to staying at your side all day long? Homer is your guy! Once Homer falls in love, he's on you like glue. Homer goes to work with his foster dad, sometimes. He is just 2 years old and he loves to watch TV, help cook dinner (he's very good at making sure the floor stays clean), chew on bones, snuggle and go for rides in the car. Homer is housebroken, does not need to be crated day or night. Homer is an excellent buddy, but not for a family with small children.

Well, since my dogs are usually the ones to pick me out, I have no idea what I'll come home with next. I am going to start fostering for Shar Pei rescue in a few months, so maybe my next will be a Shar Pei. Who knows

There are two with mange that just totally broke my heart.

    Paco
    Dog
    Shar Pei

    Size: Medium
    Age: Adult
    Sex: Male
    I.D: Abilene

Notes: Someone told Paco that he was invited to a costume party, so he was going to go as Sphynx cat, you know the furless variety? However, it was not a party he was dropped off at, his owner surrendered him to rescue. Paco needs a good home that can see through his "costume" and imagine the handsome dog he will be after a little extra attention and a few extra baths. He is a wonderful dog; perfectly behaved around children and other dogs. He is playful and he is house trained. Paco just needs a permanent party in his honor to attend forever. He will dress as himself this time and grow his fur back!

    Bagabon
    Dog
    Shar Pei

    Size: Medium
    Age: Adult
    Sex: Female
    I.D: Houston

Notes: What’s a girl to do?? Some days just are not good hair days…and believe me before NASPR found me that was the least of my worries. The long days and lonely nights on the street depleted my health, my beauty and just when my spirit was starting to give out my guardian angels arrived. When animal control picked me up I thought…“Who cares!“…then this volunteer came to the shelter from Rescue and looked past the way I smelled, the fact that I was about 50% bald, malnourished, and that my nails were so long I could barely walk w/o pain. It had been a very long time since I had felt the kindness of a human but she bent down in front of me, loved on me, told me how beautiful I was and that everything was going to be ok. …and I am starting to believe her. Then another rescue worker delivered me to the vet’s office and he checked me out. I overheard him talking to someone telling them I was underweight, malnourished, had demodex, worms, and tested positive for heartworms. He said I was in bad shape and my recovery would take time, patience, lots of love and medical attention. After the vet and a brief stay at the NASPR shelter …they loaded me up again and imagine my surprise when I saw the very first volunteer again. Seems that she is going to be my foster mom until I am healthy and ready for my forever family. If you think you might be that family…please keep checking on my progress. They named me Miss Bagabon, but those close to me call me “Baggie”. NOTE: Miss Bagabon has been treated for worms, has been spayed, is currently being treated for demodex and once she is strong enough will be treated for heartworms. She is remarkably affectionate and open to people considering the condition she was found in. She is well socialized to children and other dogs. She crates w/o issue, and will respect gated boundaries. Although she does not have accidents in her given areas and will let you know when she needs to go, if left to roam the house freely she will potty in the house. We will continue with “Baggie’s” training and medical care. If you have room in your heart for this gorgeous lady I feel certain she will reward you with years of devoted companionship. “Baggie” is one of many Shar-Pei in NASPR’s care that require medical attention. If you have room in your heart but not in your home please donate towards those needs.

This little girl is marked Urgent Her face breaks my heart

I hope she can get out of the kill shelter she's in soon

    Here's a little Pit/Shar Pei mix, he's SOOO CUTE

And a little pup from a rescue here .. he was rescued from the kill shelter

I like this guy a lot:

    Benjamin
    Dog
    Labrador Retriever,Boxer Mix

    Size: Large
    Age: Adult
    Sex: Male
    I.D:

    Notes:
Benjamin is a 2 year old neutered male boxer/lab MIX. He does not trust people very much and he needs a very special home. Once he gets to know and trust you, he is a very sweet boy. He will give you all the kisses you could possibly want and more. He is used to living outside, he gets along with other dogs, but would do best in a home with no kitties. No one has ever given Benjamin a chance, and that's all he really wants. A second chance at life, A first chance at a real, loving home. He prefers females over males (humans!). Please open your heart and give this poor boy a chance at life.... There is a picture of him with one of our volunteers that he LOVES!
