I didn't have the fan on last night and he still tried to wake me up at 4am. He was very persistant and kept crying. I just don't know what his problem is lately. I wish I could understand cat.
Well, you see, he now knows that you are prepared to feed him at 4am! I hope that it is just a "phase" he is going through.

My girls are terrifed of fans or blow heaters. They are terrified of strong wind outside as well. They don't seem to like their beautiful fur being ruffled.

It's getting worse. This morning he cried again so I put him out in the hallway and shut the door. He then tried to dig his way back in by scratching his claws into the carpet. I think that this is becoming a behavioral problem and I really don't know what to do about it. Does any one have any suggestions.

My Debra is unwilling to venture into the den, because my husband installed a ceiling fan and she doesn't know what to make of it. The room is undergoing renovation, and before he put in the fan she had no problem going in and jumping up on the windowsill like she used to, despite the under-construction status. My other cats have no problem exploring the "new" den, but she just doesn't feel comfortable with those blades whirling around overhead.

It sounds like Sky has other issues besides the fan, but I don't know what to make of it . . . has anything changed in the household?

There have been two recent changes lately. I have a new roommate which all of my cats like very much and I've started working out again in the mornings so I've been getting up earlier than usual when I work out. These are the only new things that I can think of right now.

i dont think my cat is afraid of ceiling fans but on a floor fan he runs fast so all the air wont hit him, so i cant say he is afraid of it or not
