I am glad to hear everyone is okay. I hope Nala feels better soon!

Please give Nala a kiss and hug for me and let her know she can sleep in my bed anytime!!!

Sorry that happened! Sounds like you know exactly how to handle it. Glad they're both OK now.

Maybe Nala just wasn't feeling well. I know I get "snappy" when I'm sick. In fact, my mother felt she had to warn my husband before we got married - "Stay away from her when she's sick, because when she gets sick she gets MEAN!"

Jake was like that too. If he didn't get his rimadyl for his arthritis, you'd better watch out!

I hope her tummy feels better and that Kiara's feelings weren't too hurt!

    Thanks for the siggy, Lexi_Lover!

Kay, you don't have to worry, nobody is going to be mad at Nala, or you. I think it is a normal reaction anyway. Give sweet Nala a big hug and a kiss on the head and nose for me, hope she gets to feeling better soon.

I am so glad to hear no one got hurt.

We have had fight between our dogs, the worst was Theodore and Elvis over a tiny peice of dog food that was on the floor, Elvis was only about 4 months old at the time and i was shocked that such a young pup could have it in him. They were both fine though.

I hope you can sort somthing out, and as Kiara gets older her and Nala work out the pecking order.

I'm glad everyone is okay now!

I don't think anyone would 'start anything' - as all of us with more than one pets know, these things happen. But then afterwards things just get back to normal.

Daphne and Cocoa got into a fight once over food. One had it, and the other wanted it. But they are best buds. So don't worry. ^_^

Well I'm so glad to hear that no one was hurt. Yes, sometimes it seems the smaller and newer dogs seem to get all the attention. They all need attention don't they

Reminds me of what happened to us the other day...I took Roxey to the pet store and of course she wanted to get a cat toy it was a little mouse on a pull. She loved it and everything was fine until Angus was in the house. He wanted it and Roxey didn't want him to have it and they started having at it with each other. Needless to say nothing terrible happened between them they are fine now and the toy doesn't get played with unless Roxey is by herself So I know just how it goes

I can't imagine how anyone could criticize you or the pups over that, no one is to blame. As many others have posted, most squabbles happen over food or possessions, and as Kiara gets older Nala may feel her place in the pack is threatened. It's good your parents decided to give Nala some special treatment, that would be very reassuring for her. Others have given you great advice as well! Just don't be too discouraged, I'm sure you are already taking all the right steps to help the situation as best you can. I imagine Nala not feeling well contributed as well, maybe she felt even more threatened than usual since she wasn't feeling well.

    Thanks everyone.

I have to admit.. last night I was felling very guilty about this, as if it was my fault. I knew it was a normal thing, but i've just been feeling guilty ever since we got Kiara.
I love her to death, like I do the other two, and wouldn't trade them for anything. But I sorta of feel like i've betrayed Simba and Nala by getting another dog.

    Silly, I know.

Buttt.. Seeing this makes everything worth while. I love when they all play together.

This is the goofy silly Nala I like to see..

Kay I remember the night I brought Mandy home. Even though things were already looking good between the two of them I was out in the backyard playing with them and crying. Hubby says what's the matter and I told him I didn't want Lacey to think we didn't love her! Ha they're both so spoiled rotten now you'd think I brought them home together!

Kay, I felt the same way, except it was alot worse

Piddle used to sleep with me, and when we got Jasper, my mom started taking Piddle to bed with her, and I missed him sleeping with me so much, I cried myself to sleep alot of nights at first

But Piddle didn't like Jasper, and still doesn't, so your very lucky that your 3 get along so well, and love each other!

    RIP Jasper. I can't believe you're gone.

It's ok to feel like that Kay, but you didn't do anything to betray Simba and Nala. When we only had Sylvia and I asked for another dog my dad asked me why Sylvia wasn't enough. It had nothing to do with that. Having two dogs is the best thing I ever did and I would have three if my parents would let me. They get in bad moods and snap just like people do.
