Oz and Gully are pretty Felix Ungerish about where they sleep. Gull has a cloth dog bed with stuffing in it and one of my throw blankets in his crate and he's not soiled or destroyed either. He threw up one day and made sure it was in his dog dish, away from his bedding. I'll usually leave a Kong or rubber toy for him to chew on.

Oz sleeps on my bed and never touches anything I leave on it, including remotes, books, clothes, bedding, just whatever. Since it's more or less his bed now too, because Gully has his crate, he's very particular about it. He just about had a coronary, the morning Murph was going to throw up on it. I didn't realize what was happening and he was going nutz barking and running back and forth between me and Murph. I finally figured out what was up and quickly put Murph on the floor before he could hurl on the bed, and Oz calmed down immediately.

Murph has a lambskin snuggle dog bed in his crate. He's never destroyed it or soiled it. He'd rather sleep on my bed though, I'm sure, but I'm afraid to leave him on my bed, when I'm not here, due to him jumping off and injuring his leg. He does sleep up on my bed, when I'm home though and he would never destroy anything on it or soil it. He knows to let me know if he's gotta get off to go potty. He just hasn't quite figured out the importance of doing that if he has to throw up too. But apparently Oz has that covered, so no worries.

Edited to add this about Maddie: The last year of her life she didn't have as good of bladder control. So when she had to go, she had to go. She slept on my bed. Well a couple of times, before I realized I should make her go potty first thing in the morning, before I took my bath, she had accidents on the bed, while I was in the tub and couldn't hear her asking to go out. She was so considerate though, that she'd climb up on the top of my comforter pile and pee there, so the pee never actually made it to the matress. Don't know how she figured this out, especially being blind, but somehow she did. Guess she didn't want her bed soiled anymore then I did.
