I got up and hugged him. I almost melted in his arms. I hugged him and closed my eyes forcing back the tears that were on the verge of pouring out. He didn’t put his arms around me right away, but he gently patted my back. I let go and he just smiled. I heard a knock on the door and almost jumped out of my skin.
“I’ll get it.” Spencer said. He left the room and I collapsed into the chair again. Suddenly all these thoughts were going through my mind. What if Spencer didn’t like me like I liked him? What if he didn’t know I liked him? Maybe he wasn’t getting my hints. Maybe he didn’t think we were going out like I did. Maybe he thought I was only a friend.
