I had a kitten that tested positive, (he was very sick) the vet told me she hates to run the test because the virus is one that presents itself in literally 1000 different ways- and that I should not lose heart or hope. We treated him, I bleached everything in the house constantly (out of fip fear because the fip baby, cheops was a definate). And guess what, he got better and eventually, Puff, got adopted out and now lives in a town nearby. I thought for sure he was a gonner- the fever, not eating etc. I was terrified. The corona test is a waste of money - the vet didn't even want to do it- she said "It means nothing". And, "We have to treat him for his presenting symptoms". She is gold in my eyes!
