Hi Everyone!
Sorry it has taken me awhile to post. Things have been a bit hectic around here.
Katie is home!!! Katie was just as happy to see us as we were to see her. She was trying her best to do her wiggle waggle routine on three legs when she came out. I had to hold back the tears when I saw her. I was just so happy to see she was just fine. She gave me tons of kisses and the left side of my face was completey slimed...lol...and I loved every bit of it.She is one silly looking girl right now. Her left leg is completely shaved. She has the cut going down her knee area with staples in it and then the ankle part is in a blue cast. Her front leg has had a patch shaved to make room for the IV that she had and then on her back right above her tail is a square shaved patch where they put the epidural (sp) in. She looks a little on the pathetic side but just as beautiful as ever! Gosh, I love that girl! We have our list of instructions on how to take care of her and of course the most important is to keep her down. This is not going to be an easy task. Kay is right Tori was very excited to see her big sister and that is a big problem. So most of our evening has been spent making sure the girls do get together too often. We can't take the chance of Tori stepping or even grabbing a hold of her leg trying to play. It is going to be so hard to keep them apart. This is going to be a long haul. It already proved to be a bit hectic today and we need to work out a plan. We are going to have to take turns. One of us has to make sure Katie is alright, while the other one gives Tori lots of attention and walks to wear her out. Geesh, 6 weeks!! I hope we make it through this. I didn't take any pictures this evening. I just wanted to be with her and get her to relax and lay down. She has eaten and been out twice now. She has some more pain pills for the next 5 days. Right now she is sound asleep in her crate. I will try to get some pics tomorrow so you guys can see her pretty blue cast

Thanks so much for checking in to see how she is doing and keep all the prayers and positive thoughts coming for a full recovery now.
Hugs to you all......Robin and Katie![]()
