This was essentially my tactic too only I started with a dozen. I finally backed down to "only" ten for quite a few months. So, getting the new "kitten" from Kim was no problem - adding one more "for someone to play with the same age" slid right by him So, now we are up to five. I realize there will be no more kittens, but we still have room to grow There will never be an end to the cat hair, scooping, etc anyway. I don't think it is manipulation - it is just...I don't know what to call it...paving the way or something?? He also knows I still want a special needs cat, someone who really needs me. The skinkids are all gone - I am not working any longer - we have room and I have always, always wanted a houseful of cats!!
