Poodle lover I am so sorry to hear of your recent loss. I am also a poodle lover and have had 4, one being a standard. It has been almost 3 years since my last poodle died and we just yesterday adopted a female cream standard (she is only 5 lbs. right now). The death of a dog is a very hard thing to get over and we felt overwhelmed with the thoughts of a new dog for quite some time. I don't know of any breeders in your particular area, but to find my new little girl I just did a search on line and went from there. Good luck to you in finding that special little one.
