Im starting to love Ocicats, then again I love ALL cats, oops or not!

I've heard a lot about kitten mills. Those REALLY disgust me because when they get a cat that isn't perfect it gets dumped even if it isn't weaned. most of the time on the side of the road and not even at a shelter. I'd rather a cat go to a kill shelter than a dumpster!

About those contracts, I think they are legal insofar that you can't legally breed from a breeders line without compinsating them for it in some way at least thats how it is for dogs. Some breeders have unique patterns or traits that they want to keep to thier line so they are hesitant to adopt out an animal unless its altered or the new owner signs a contract. With our RB doberman, Blue, we had to sign a contract saying that if we bred him and one of his offspring were in a show we would have to PAY the original breeder if the dog won! But he was an *ooops* too...too big *3 inches taller than the standard says otherwize he met the standards perfectly*, so no one would breed him . A shame really concidering he came from champion lines, but he wouldn't have won any shows anyway because of his size. *Which IMO is STUPID*
