I understand why Bill Waterson stopped doing it...

Apperantly United features Syndicate *the comic company* wanted to licence calvin and hobbs out to a bunch of toys and stuff. *and even a cartoon show* He said that his comic was just that, a comic only and he didnt want some dumb toy manufacturer butchering his idea. He decided to just stop doing the comic all together rather than argue with the comic company So anything you see with calvin and hobbs on it *including the gifs* is illigal and he CAN sue if he wanted to. But he pretty much limited his lawsuits to people who were making gobs of money off of his stuff.
