Tubby used to have his big fuzzy slipper that he did the same thing with. I, too, just rolled my eyes and let him have his way with the slipper.

I think your kitty is quite normal as there are quite a few here who do the same thing. Rizzo (?) and his favorite stuffed seal Sauxus (sp?) are two that come immediately to mind.
