I have 2 dachshund/pug mix. One is half/half.. the other is 3/4 dachshund, and 1/4 pug.

They definitely have skin problems, but when I was talking to someone that has dealt with demodex mange (the kind thats not contagious) all of their dogs life, they said that dachshunds and pugs usually get it, along with other skin problems, so I got the raw end of the deal with them...

The older one, Annie, used to have a lot of problems with her skin, but I got it under control now by doing the frequent baths in the stuff that the person told me to bathe her in. It also helped to feed her a certain list of foods that I was given.

Also, both pugs and dachshunds are very hard to housetrain, so you can imagine what we are going through with Bailee (the younger one). She's sooooo stubborn, and we still have a hard time with her being completely trained not to go in the house. Annie is really smart, so she picked up on it pretty quickly.
