Glad the night has passed for you Liz. My biggest worry (and it stole some of MY sleep) is the gun. Statisically (so I have heard)- guns in homes are more often used against the homeowner! This is because the homeowner does not know how to use it and is not trained. How about getting a baseball bat instead?? I also like what Karen suggested about the heavy rifle - we have lots of black powder rifles around and I think I would likely grab one of those - a buffalo rifle maybe -unloaded of course - and use it to swing around!

Good idea about the new locks. Oh my - I can sure see how you feel violated - knowing someone was in your home and so sorry you are going through this.

Do you have anyone who could stay with you for awhile??
