Don't get a Duck tolling retriever because I don't think you know anything about them.

Tollers shed ALOT and they are a very high energy dog that needs a very active lifestyle and a big yard to run around in! Trust me, I know I happen to own a toller mix and she is very Hyper. I also know her mom and her sister and they are extremeley hyper, so if you don't want a really hyper dog then DO NOT get a Toller.

I do however know of a dog that would probably fit your lifestyle though and that is a purebred Bichon Frise. they are really smart, easy going, playful at times and they are very loyal companions!
