Male dogs do that to show dominence, as well as showing that they've "been here." We call it "marking their territory." After all, the "more land" you have/own, the better a dog you are to the canine world! My dog, Blaze does it constantly too, and there's nothing you can do about it. It is true that dogs that aren't fixed do it moreso, but even then, Blaze who was fixed when he was 5 months old, does it often. Our deceased dog, Bandit though, was not neutered however, and marked everything in sight. It's a DOMINENCE thing!!![]()
