Please help us name the new puppy...

My husband really dislikes the name Lila so I don't think I'm going to be able to sway him differently. He likes Anna and while it's a very pretty name, I've met a lot of dogs recently named Anna so I'd like something a little different.

Does anyone have any suggestions? We tend to like human names for dogs because it gives them another dimension (or so we like to think). I also like decidely feminine names for girls and manly names for boys... Anyone got any cute, feminine human names that would fit a cute little puppy?

    Thanks!

I'll throw out the ones I always suggest since I haven't seen the puppy yet . I always consider these when naming any girls.

    I like...
    Lily
    Sofie or Sofia
    Maddie (short for Madison)
    Angie (short for Angelina)
    Louisa
Billy and Willy! (2 of my 4)

    My favorites are:

    Hannah
    Jessie

Those are a couple of the names I've picked out If (bf says we have too many so it'll be a while) we ever get another dog.

Lily is my best friend's cat's name... It is very pretty but we don't want to have to differentiate by saying "Lily the cat" or "Lily the dog."

There are some great suggestions though I'm still hoping he'll warm up to Lila. The reason I love Lila is because my favorite flower is the lilac. My grandmother used to have the entire perimeter of her backyard bordered by lilac bushes and when you'd spend the night at her house when they were in bloom and she had the windows open... it was like Heaven. I've pulled out all the stops by admitting this to my husband, so hopefully he'll give in... but if not, I need some back-up names so keep the suggestions coming... PLEASE!!!

Chloe is always a good girly name. (Of course, I'm a little biased as I have a cat with that name.) I like Phoebe, too. Another possibility that is similar to Lila is Delilah.

Good suggestions. Chloe is adorable but we already know 3 dogs named Chloe! I guess everyone else thinks it's adorable too.
