I think it is a great idea. I actually started a thread about the same idea awhile ago, but, it didnt' catch on! I still haven't been able to get near a scanner, so, I couldn't post one right now, but, maybe soon....hopefully, you'll get a better response than i did. I'd love to see baby/childhood pictures!
