As for the items carrying a disease from another animal, now I'm not sure, but I think maybe in travel any disease will have died. Don't most diseases die outside the body after time? And maybe they were even already checked or sprayed at customs. I think customs is pretty strict about letting things through. Again I have no idea - just trying to think!

Just keep a close eye on the girls for the next couple of days since they got into the items (I know you already are ). As long as they act healthy and as normal, no worries. Keep us posted!
