KayAnn, I know this is not a faith board, and I know not everyone who visits is a Christian, so I hope everyone will give me a little leeway in addressing your question:

God does not "make" people die. In fact, God does not "make" anyone do anything. We all have choice. No, those people did not choose to be in a building while it was hit by a hijacked plane, but they did choose whether or not to follow him when they were alive. If they have, then they suffered no harm, because everything of this world is temporary - their panic, their anguish, their pain - they are now with their Lord, receiving their eternal reward, never to feel panic, anguish or pain again. Their families did not choose to be related to someone whose life was cut short so tragically, but with their faith in God and his promise of eternal life they know they will see each other again.

God gave us this choice, because he knew we could not love Him unless we had the choice to love Him. Do you feel any affection towards anyone who demands that you honor and love them?

Remember, too, there are forces of evil and good constantly at war. What happened yesterday is the forces of evil winning the latest battle. But the forces of good, in other words - God, will reign in the end.

There are alot of things that don't make sense, even to us faithful. There are alot of things God never tells us. For instance, God chose not to tell us of Jesus' life from age 12 to 30. We are merely man and do not need to know and would not be able to understand everything.

I am not trying to proselytize, and I thank everyone for giving me time to express.

I hope this helps you to understand, KayAnn, as much as any of us can.
