Good on you Lynne. I've already purchased about 6 Christmas presents so far and plan to do plenty more in the coming month off.

Richard: Funny funny ha ha. Always the comic. Our Canada Day celebrations don't even come close to your July 4th celebrations. Why is it the States always do it bigger and better?

    Simple.

    We mix liquor and explosives...

    Booze and baked beans work-
It's just they just aren't as colorful.

He he he Connie - I've just noticed your siggy. Reminds me of a tee shirt I bought in Vegas.

    It says:

"I'm a cat lover - I adore being ignored" - then there is a parade of cat prints!!

Richard - What in the name of all that's good and holy is a braut? Again my lack of Americanisms shows!!

    Kinda like a "banger"????

    HEHEHEHE,

You have already had a taste of Vegas decadence.....Once the Americanisms settle in, resistance is futile!

Lynne, I think Richard means brat - as in bratwurst. It's just that it's not pronounced like a naughty kid, it's pronounced more like Richard spelled it.

They're yummy, and since I'm from Wisconsin, land of the brat, you can bet I'll take one Richard!!!

What a yummy picnic we have going here, brats, burgers, beans, cole slaw (yummy!) potato salad, cheese tray and all the other goodies. The only other thing we need are some weiners. Yes, weiners, not hot dogs. My mom gets some from this fabulous little meat market way out in the country by her. They're made from the original "old world recipe" and boy are they yummy! I bet most of you don't even know what a weiner is. Seems that those skinless things that pass for hot dogs these days have really taken over.

Ok, everybody get your mind out of the gutter now, there really is a difference between a weiner a hot dog and a red hot.....it'll just take me awhile to research. I could *show* you, but I can't explain it, but weiners are much much better than hot dogs.

Ok, now that I've bored you beyond belief, if I could just figure out how to pour this left handed pitcher with my right hand.....

When I was a youngster, the hot dogs were bright red due to the red dye they put in the casing. They stopped using it when they discovered the red dye caused people to die - it caused cancer. I shudder to think how many of those things I ate!

Lynne I'm sure you look adorable in your cat shirt. Any pictures?

You maybe could fill the hot tub or swimming pool with slushies!

Richard all you have to do to make a pitcher left handed is turn it around, right?
We could try!! Might be a little COLD! BRRRR

It's an English thing, Lynne can tell you. Bangers are sausages and I think mash is mashed potatoes. My heritage is English, Irish and Scottish
