I am SO pleased that your Angus is home, and feeling better!

It seems from the link above, and from the other webpages that came up, that it is vitally important to watch for dehydration. Some people's dogs almost died from dehydration before they could be cured of what was really wrong. Sounds like your vet is handling it well.
In an on-line (people) medical dictionary reference to Carafate, it is described as a treatment for ulcers, and that it works best when taken on an empty stomach. (Of course, that advice was intended for humans. Just thought I'd mention it.)
I loved to see the pictures of Angus with his toys. If he has to spend another day at the vet's to get more fluids, maybe you could leave his football there with him!?
