You're justifiably angry! Don't even bother to ask... take her! How are they to know its you who took her? Will they ever come to your new home and visit? If you never plan on sharing anything with these people again, just leave her out one night, and scoop her up on your way to the car.

From what you've said, those people are vicious and might say no just to be mean! And then they'd think its funny!
