If you go out the kitchen door and down the deck steps you find yourself in the yard. Our property goes back quite a bit into the woods (where the ticks live) but we didn't fence in the entire area. Here Ripley is trying to sniff at the fence and see if Tess, the neighbor's dog, might be outside.
