Oh Kim, thank you so much! I really enjoyed my visit and you made me feel right at home. What a beautiful home you have and I think you could have done very well as an interior decorator!

I love all the colors you have chosen and they all work so well together.

I really enjoyed my visit and I would love to come again. A beautiful home and it's full of kitties! What more could you ask for? Thanks for the fantastic visit!

What a WONDERFUL house! But aren't we missing pictures of the "cat room"? On a cat house tour, I'd think that was mandatory

I too love the red walls, and whenever we get around to redoing OUR bedroom that is the way I want to go. But I also am extrememly partial to the yellow in your kitchen. It is a particularly LOVELY shade of yellow (not all shades are as nice)

Thank you for the nice words .... my home may "appear" elegant, but trust me, it is very lived in and done on a budget!!! I just like the victorian era and they were notorious for boldness and gold ornate items .... all which trick the eye!!! If you look around closely you will see that I have very little "stuff" lying around .... I just choose what I buy very carefully and make sure it is something I really want first. Our furniture ... Living Room and Master Bedroom was bought with an insurance settlement we received for a work-related injury and surgery that my hubby had a few years ago. In fact, it also paid the down payment on our home! Before that time, we were renting for 8 years (our entire marriage) and moving on the average of every 1 1/2 years! We are very thankful for our home, and try very hard not to take it for granted .... as it was truly a gift from God .... for we would not have been able to get it without Him!

You have such a beautiful house! You and my gf would get along great, i think.. You have the same decorating taste. I love your kitchen... bright and cheery! The 'extra room' is awesome.

    Thanks for having us!

Great thread! A tour by flashlight (if that) would be the way to go here lol! I also love Victorian era decorations, but alas most of my clutter goes onto the walls. I have collected many turn of the century prints, and trade cards which are all arranged up my hallway walls along with ancient dresses and rose garlands. Now if only I could get up there and dust all the fur off! I have a bad habit of keeping surfaces cluttered enough to keep cats off. But that often doesn't stop some of them. (sighs deeply) Your home is gorgeous, and spacious looking! But where's that little Tabitha hiding?

Thank you, QS ... oh, Tabitha was in the blue and white cage that you could see right beside my desk!!! Of course, these days she prefers to spend MOST of her time running around on mommy's big bed!!!

He is like Catnapper's father in that he thinks if you keep it "stock" it will be easier to sell because the prospective buyers will have less to do to remodel to their tastes. So now, twelve years later, he's still living in "neutral." Anytime I want to add some color he says it's because I'm Polish.

Although, the one thing I have to admit is that "neutral" doesn't fade like colors do, and our main windows face south and we prefer to let the light in and not cover the windows, so the little color we do have fades quickly.
He he........its the same in our home. Walls have to be white. While my dad loves murals and painted walls, the rest of us insist that white makes the house look more spacious, and more lighted. I do love colored walls too.......it adds personality to the house. Its so much fun seeing everyone's homes.
