kitty & litter box

Help! I need to know if anybody's elses cat does this one:

My 8 month old kitten has decided that one of her comfy, hideaway, sleeping spots is the litter box.
I have had Trixie for almost six months now and this is a new, amusing habit.

I don't necessarily want this habit staying around since I have two other cats that may need to use the potty...
There is a second litter box, but this is one of the automatic ones and used the most frequently. Again, why would she want to spend the time napping here???

I am just curious if anybody's elses cat finds comfort sleeping in the litter box?

On a side note: silly me...I buy kitty condos, kitty beds, fuzzy balls and toys with bells...and all this time I just needed a litter box and garbage bag twisters to make my little Trixie a happy baby.

Yes cats are like that. A while back Mitzi started sleeping on top of her covered litterbox. Not the most pleasant place IMHO, however she likes it. Go figure. I'm the same way - I buy them beds, toys, etc. when all they want is to sleep on MY bed (or the litterbox) and play with plastic ties and bags. Ah kids! I love them to bits!

Don't feel bad. I've spent alot of money on cat beds, cat tents, cat hammocks, anything that a cat would normally LOVE to sleep in. Where do MY cats enjoy sleeping???

My bed, the empty box in the livingroom, under my kitchen table, on top of the refrigerator.

Oh yeah, and don't forget the bathroom sink.

I'm the same way - I buy them beds, toys, etc. when all they want is to sleep on MY bed

I KNOW! Hahaha! I have given up trying to buy them kitty beds. They just look at me as if to say, you sleep in that thing! We're taking the bed! Heh!
