I LOVE BLUEBERRY! He is one of my constant favorites! If you don't mind me asking. Is he Persian or Himalayan or both? I would love to have one like him oneday.
Aki- Well, he's both. The Himalayan could be a breed or a color. All himmies are pointed colors, like Blueberry's a blue point. The color is only for Persians though. The CFA(Cat Fanciers Association) refers to the Himalayan as a Persian, but I think some others refer to the Himmy as another breed. So he's both I guess. LOL it sounds confusing doesn't it?
I think I read somewhere that a LONG time ago, the Himmy was first bred with a Persian and a Siamese. So they got the pointed color from the Siamese and all the other features from the Persian. Persians are more laid back, and Siamese cats are more hyper. So the Himmy is just in between.
