I had to put my 15-year-old dog/best friend, Bruno, down in June. I wasn't ready right away for the responsibility of another dog, so, it wasn't until February that I got Finn. I've never had a puppy before (Bruno was one when I got him), but, for me, it was really difficult at first. The first couple of days with Finn were good, but, after that, for about a week or two, it was hard. I thought about Bruno a lot, and, cried a lot about him.Originally posted by ParNone
that have lost a beloved dog, when you got a new one did you find it somewhat difficultBut, I've been "around the corner" with Finn for awhile now. I think of Bruno probably every day, but, rarely in a sad way. I don't think that will ever change. He was too much a part of my life. I accidentally called Finn "Bruno" recently. It didn't upset me, and, of course, he didn't even look cuz that's not his name, it actually made me laugh. I had to go give Bruno's urn a hand smooch, though. It's a tradition I have. Kiss my fingers, touch his picture. But, Finn and I have a tremendous bond, now. He just fills a different part of me than Bruno did.
I think your doggies are all beautiful and I LOVE your signature! That has to be the coolest one I've seen yet! Very neat concept. Did you make it?
