Thanks for the advice. I also bathed mine often and that was the one time they'd get active. I'd try to play with them every day but they never wanted to come out of their shells. I guess I'll give up on the crab idea then. I want another pet and I think that would be the only one okay by my mom, who believes in one pet at a time! I would love to get another hamster but Daisy isn't very good with small snimals. I guess I'll just have to stick with one pet at a time!
