We know how much Simba means to you. We know that 6 is only 6 - not even old for a doggie of his breed/size! Do speak to a vet about his difficulty getting up onto things - he could need a change of diet if it's a weight thing, or something. And if it's the beginnings of arthritis, there's still stuff you can do to keep him comfy, cozy and comforting for a long time to come.
