The problem is that not all vets (nor rescue groups) believe in the infant neutering. So if ALL cats needed the operation BEFORE adopting, people would not be able to adopt the young kittens that are so desirable.I guess this is the reason why most rescue groups and the Humane Society spay or neuter their animals before they allow the adoptees to take them home.
In our area, out of ALL the many vets, there is probably only one willing to do the surgery on the tiny ones. Most feel it is unsafe and unsound. (if you want to debate this, start your OWN thread)
