That sounds like a good start! Giving him a treat when he goes to the bathroom. And, putting his food where he was peeing sounds good, too! Or even just a water bowl. Or a bed or blanket he likes to sleep on. Anything that would make him think of that spot as a bad place to pee. Good luck! Keep us posted.
