Jake had this spot on the carpet, on the stairs, where he would frequently urinate. He's completely housetrained, but one day he had an accident and after that he thought it was OK to use that spot. Somebody here suggested putting his food bowl on that spot for a while, so he would know it's a living area and not OK to pee there.

I did it, and it's been over a year since he peed there. It might be a coincidence but it can't hurt to give it a try. Can you feed your dog in a different spot for a few days?
