Reece luckily doesn't get tear stains, but I have successfully cleaned them off of some shelter Poodles. I usually just go to the pet store and buy those wipes. They help if the problem is mild. They do help on severe staining, but they won't take it completely away. The suggestions everyone gave you above will probably work well - haven't tried them myself but they sound good!
