You are so lovely I had to de-lurk from a posting drought of at least a couple years to send you love and licks from the Great White North!

Tell your mom that my deaf-since-birth lab/bordercollie does the exact same thing when really excited to see visitors; she will actually run away to go and fetch her toy before running back for a proper wiggle-bum greeting! It's a shame how many people think the lack of hearing is a fault; in our case, we have found our little Jewel to be wonderfully disciplined and a very sound sleeper (except her eyes tend to be half open, kinda creepy).
