Even so... that is Ford's money that the ad company is messing with and I can't see an ad company runing it's reputation to film something Ford didn't agree too.

Ad agencies often do stuff "on spec" without any knowledge or complicity from the client. Ford itself may have had nothing to do with the idea, or the filming, and may have been every bit as appalled as we all are.

I worked for several years at an ad agency, which is how I know. All it takes is one creative director to say "I have a great idea - let's do X!" and then to convince other people it's great ... "The client will love this - you just wait and see ..."

Its stupid, stupid, stupid, but I would not blame Ford. But if you ever need an ad agency, or have influence in that area, you know which one NOT to hire.
