Great pictures! How are horses around dogs generally? I run into them rarely but on occasion on trails. I keep Sadie close to me and on a leash because I know nothing about horses and I'm afraid they might get startled and kick her.

Duke I love the way you look at the camera!

Thanks everyone! About dogs and horses: I think it really depends on the dog and the horse. Like the horse next to Flair is super scared of dogs because he got attacked by them in the past. You have been doing right by keeping the dog on leash and close to you. Duke and Flair get along great except that Duke gets so excited and I have to remind him to quit running around the horse.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

My RB collie Willie loved horses. He'd get so excited around them. He would bark if people rode horses by him, I had to step in and make him stop that as I sure didn't want him spooking someone's horse, especially while they were riding .

I have a couple pictures of him with a couple of horses that used to live by my Mom's place and we would walk the dogs over and visit the horses. They may have been raised around dogs, they were just really curious and not scared of them.

Hope Val won't mind if I post a couple pics of them here with the horses.. if they show up. My domain has been going up and down a lot lately . The first is with David and both horses and the dogs. Cody was only semi-interested but Willie just loved them. The second is just Willie and one of the horses. You can kind of see how excited his face looks, and his tail was wagging too.
