Happy ending - when Krystal (the upstairs daughter) came down to meet my son for their carpool, I asked her if they had a gray kitty. She said "yes, and he's missing, we don't know where he is." I said "I do!" and brought him out. She was so happy and then explained how she kept hearing him but could only find his collar, and then finally had to go to bed and hope for the best. We figure that's about the time he made his way to our patio. He's not normally let outside, and they're not sure how he got out. Another side story - her 10 year old brother had been missing since mid-December, and he was found Sunday in Montana, and got back home Tuesday. Probably in all the happy commotion of the reunion, Shadow got out. Anyway, after talking to Krystal I feel a little better about them having kitties, and will get some SNYP coupons so they can get them fixed (their financial situation is no better than mine!). They were glad he was safe and warm last night, and I'm glad a lost kitty story had a happy ending!
