There is no excuse for some people's ignorance. People let these pets go, thinking; "Oh, someone will find him and take him in. He'll find food when he's hungry". They don't realize that pets will continue to search for their owner, for their way home. That is such a sad story. Sadder is the fact that it happens everyday somewhere.
