I speak English, understand abbreviations perfectly well, and I write stories, and I STILL can't understand a single thing when people use run-on sentences. I don't understand why you take offense, as I've read some of your posts and haven't seen anything hard to understand at all.Originally posted by teenster3
I understand the abbreviating., as people do not always understand what one is saying but, run-ons, come on.![]()
I'm just saying that when people say something like: "I met this dog today it was so cute I pet him and he was such a good boy and I wanted to take him home but my mom wouldn't let me, she's so mean I don't understand why I couldn't get this dog he was the nicest thing ever and I just wanted him so bad and all I ever do is beg for a dog but I'm just not allowed to get one and it sucks so bad Gosh I can't stand it I wish I could get another dog like that one he was so perfect" etc, etc.
I just wrote that myself, read it over, and I have NO CLUE what I just wrote down.I need punctuation and I need actual sentence structure or it's so confusing it literally gives me a headache. Some people here have learning disablities and just can't comprehend what a sentence says when it has no structure.
